ABOUT ME

Being a trauma specialist is a second career. I left the creative field when I sensed a calling to help abuse survivors. Growing up I never thought I’d be a trauma-focused therapist but now I can’t imagine doing anything else. Helping survivors is what I was born to do.

My training in the arts helped me become a flexible and intuitive counselor. I use research-backed therapy techniques along with creativity and compassion, and hundreds of survivors have responded well to it.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is passionate about helping you move from feeling like a victim to a survivor - and eventually a thriver, I am here for you. I can help you diminish and eliminate flashbacks and recurring thoughts about the abuse. I can help you make sense of choices that didn’t help you so you can live a life aligned to who you really are. I can help you with unwanted beliefs, feelings, and thoughts. If you’ve felt like your body isn’t your own, I can help you understand what’s going on so you can begin to reclaim it. I want to walk with you on the healing journey through trauma.

If you’ve ever felt that you can’t take back your life, this isn’t true. Healing is possible, and there is hope.

THE QUESTION THAT CHANGED MY LIFE:“What do you love and what makes you angry?” I love children and I hate that so many are sexually abused. I became angry enough to change careers and become involved in helping survivors and preventing abuse.
